2011 Lexus CT 200H

Lexus CT 200H
Is not easy being a hybrid car. First, there was only Toyota Prius and its exterior wasn’t encouraging at all to make try and be Captain Planet. Nobody would have wanted to be seen driving a refrigerator bought at a price of a highly equipped compact. The years have passed and today the hybrids are trying to pass as easy as they can, without carrying about the engineers who spent night after night for making them more efficient. Today we have “hybrid dinosaurs” like the Cadillac Escalade or the BMW X6 which definitely has identity issues. Another category of hybrids is the one inaugurated by Honda CR-Z. With its funny looks and the extraordinary maneuverability, at least it tries not to look like a lazy hybrid. But lets all make room for the 2011 Lexus CT 200h, who doesn’t settle anymore only for the place of the Japanese’s compact, receiving now an F version. For the ones who are new in this cars hobby, the F represents a yelled response from Japanese to the Mercedes AMG and the BMW M.
The newest member of the Japanese family was unveiled at the International Auto Salon in Australia. Therefore, the ecological and agile Lexus CT 200h proposes to give CR-Z a big hit in the face. But we shouldn’t hurry up with the laurels. Despite the fact that it is the second in the F series, CT 200h will not frighten us with big numbers, coming for the HP’s side or a monstrous torque. The compact will go with the “agility way”, obtained with the help of an adjusted suspension and a direction column which has a more incisive response for the driver’s commands. It also comes with the special color Flame Blue, also the special rims and the bodywork kit.
Under the bonnet, the 2011 Lexus CT 200H hosts a 1.8 liters engine VVT, connected with another electric engine. We can proudly say that this is a new Prius with a Lexus sign, therefore a much more expensive Prius. It is true that the CT 200h has many optional features, but still the Prius starts from $26,000 and stops at $31,000, while the CT 200h can easily “jump” to a double price.
